World of Warcraft movie gets a writer, Robert Rodat

While we have known for a while that Sam Raimi is going to direct the World of Warcraft movie, it is now being reported that Raimi has found a writer.  Raimi told MTV that screenwriter Robert Rodat (Saving Private Ryan) will be writing the script for the movie. 

Raimi also told them that the movie will be an original work, not an adaptaion of the Arthas: Rise of the Lich King book, which was spreading around the rumor mill.  Man, making all of those millions of fans happy is going to be a hard job for them.  I wish them luck and will be honest with you by saying that I am really looking forward to this movie.  I think they can pull off something really special, and with the built in audience I think it will be successful no matter what.
