Jolie seems to either be in every movie (check her in the recently released Salt trailer) or is needed to be for a greenlight. Last month brought us word that Jolie was tabbed to replace Charlize Theron (talk about can’t lose choices). The thought was that whomever had the role, they would be paired with Sam Worthington. Apparently not the case…
THR and Variety are reporting that Worthington is now out, and Depp is being approached for the role. Furtehrmore, proposed director Florian von Donnersmarck is not out, and reportedly talks are initiated with Alfonso Cuarón (Y tu mamá también, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Children of Men). Now it all kid of sounds like Fantasy-Hollywood league as if you’re putting together a first round you’d probably name Depp and Jolie as male and female leads (and throw in Will Smith if you can).
The only thing we apparently do know is this: this film currently has no director or any stars.
