ESPN, via Tim Brown (a former winner himself from his days at Notre Dame), just announced the five finalists for the 2009 Heisman Trophy–the award recognizing the the best player in NCAA Football. One for the defense!
Ndamukong Suh, DL, Nebraska
Toby Gerhart, RB, Stanford
Mark Ingram, RB, Alabama
Colt McCoy, QB, Texas
Tim Tebow, QB, Florida
Elena made the case for Suh yesterday, and when you look at this list, maybe on Ingram jumps out at you (I expect Gerhart to catch some fictional West Coast bias). Brown revealed that he voted for Ingram. What do you think?
