This is a whole hell a of a lot in one announcement. First, David Cronenberg is going to be making The Talking Cure, an adaptation of the play about Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung. Second, you have two Inglorious Basterds in Michael Fassbender and Christoph Waltz cast. Third, the least relevant to film buffs but most relevant to normal people is that Keira Knightley has also been cast–putting her in two upcoming movies that I really want to see (the other being the adaptation of Ishiguro’s amazing novel Never Let me Go).
This announcement was made by Hopscotch films on Facebook:
More LA buys… Hopscotch will release ‘The Talking Cure’ directed by Cronenberg, starring Keira Knightly, Michael Fassbender, Christoph Waltz. A beautiful young woman, driven mad by her past. An ambitious doctor on a mission to succeed. An esteemed mentor with a revolutionary cure. Let the mind games begin…

Are you kidding? This is great news, three great actors and one great director in what could be one fantastic movie. I’m totally there!
