One of our most popular posts ever (big ups to AICN!) was one featuring cast photos for the upcoming M. Night Shyamalan treatment for Avatar., Titled the Last Airbender it’s been the source of a lot of discussion regarding race and Hollywood casting. Rest assured citizens of the BSC Empire, when the BSC-biopic is released no white-boy stand-ins! Below are some scans from a recent issue of Empire, which I saw first via /Film. I know the first inclination si to hate (and please note that I know nothing about this franchise), but I thought the damn teaser was kind of tight.

Starring Noah Ringer, Nicola Peltz, Jackson Rathbone, Dev Patel, Jessica Jade Andres, Aasif Mandvi, Shaun Toub, Cliff Curtis and Keong Sim, and produced by Frank Marshal, The Last Airbender is to be released on July 2nd of next year. It is the first in a planned trilogy of films.
