In terms of our comic book previews, Monday means the embargo on Marvel’s upcoming issue of The Amazing Spider-Man for the week (coming out Wednesday, January 27th) and it looks like more Mysterio! The Cover reminds me a bit of an old Captain America issue (remember that era when he had to give up the mantle to Walker?)–them were some great comics (Mark Gruenwald in the house!)
The issue is written by Dan Slott and features a cover and interior art from Marcos Martin (and I’m noticing “ARRAY’ inks everything at the company apparently–or at least every one we preview!). Personally, Spidey (and G.I. Joe) were the go-to comic of my childhood, and I’ve never been able to get back into it, even though I’ve heard great things post-”It’s Magic” hoopla. That doesn’t have to stop you from checking out and enjoying the six-page preview we have via Marvel Comics though!
