I know I’m a bit late on getting this up, but some tech issues here at the Empire have held most of my attention over the last few days. As I mentioned over at my blog last week, BSC is bringing its readers a chance to win a very sweet print of the cover art to the Meisha Merlin edition of George R.R. Martin’s A Game of Thrones (one of the nicest editions to have in my opinion). The cover was painted by one of my favorite artists/painters in the business, one Jeffrey Jones. It’s often quoted, but the legendary Frazetta himself once called Jones the “greatest living painter”. This print is a part of a limited run of 375 copies, two of which I can personally account for! One plus of the delay is that I just got these in-hand today and they are beautiful. These are signed and numbered by the artist, and produced by Glimmer Graphics Prints. This is great for a fan of Martin or Jones, and would be a lovely gift!
Important: not everyone follows instructions, they just email and enter, but since I’ve already had issues with one of our other current contest, the Leap Year prize pack, I have to repeat this. This contest is open to anyone, no matter where you live, as long as you are a follower of BSC on twitter or are a Facebook Friend. I’ve currently got twice as many entries for our Leap Year contest than we have followers combined, and I just want anyone interested to truly have a shot of winning! This is the status quo for any future contests (one of which coming up is a couple of shots at the BSG Caprica DVD and other goodies!).
How to Enter: Email us at contest@bscreview.com with a subject line of PRINT CONTEST. Include whatever information I need to ship the item to you and the applicable Facebook or Twitter name/handle.
I will name the winner on February 1st. Best of luck to everyone who enters!
