A surprisingly slow week on Wisteria Lane; not too many surprises or reveals, just an average week with some average stories, and the ladies all had to strip something away. Let’s break it down again, shall we?

Gaby: Well, apparently her daughter Juanita didn’t know she was Mexican. And I’m pretty sure I laughed out loud during that whole scene with the school principal; Juanita was just adorable and hysterical, especially when Gaby made her say “Adios señor.” However, that only opened up Gaby’s whole Mexican self-loathing, which was both endearing and sort of funny and, oh, so very true. The Solis family is pretty much the only family of any color on Wisteria Lane or Desperate Housewives in general (with the exception of the Applewhites a couple seasons ago), and it was interesting that after six seasons it was actually addressed.
Lynette: Oh, the Scavos always seem to have some sort of major dilemma or distress between them these days; it’s both sad and sincere and just heart-breaking almost. It was sweet how the Solises wanted to repay them and make up for everything, and I’m glad they did, but the whole Tom taking Lynette’s job thing was a little weird and clearly a distress on their relationship. And, um, isn’t Tom still in school? But whatever, clearly the major issue between them is the loss of their baby and how they are and are not dealing with it, and I swear Felicity Huffman may get an Emmy nod next year with all the severe issues and emotions Lynette has had to face this season.
Bree: Apparently Bree is uber-Catholic, and her guilt has caught up with her. Not only did she wear only black to mourn her lover, but she has taken in her husband to care for him and make amends. But, man, it is so clear that Orson is going to use her like no other and make her life hell; they seriously have the worse relationship, but at least it’s entertaining now and probably will continue to be so.
Katherine: Apparently she’s still in the psych ward or something? Weird that they haven’t even mentioned her or anything.
Susan: I love that Karl left her part of a strip club, oh, so very appropriate for the man Karl was. Even more entertaining was the fact that Mike had been to the strip club (as part of his job, we discovered, but still funny) and that Susan forbade him from going. A little extreme, I thought, but her stripping and him showing up was quite amusing and definitely got her point across.
Angie: Well, Angie wasn’t in the episode at all, unfortunately, but Danny does have something up his sleeve. As much as he likes Julie, I think he’s either letting it go or just moving on to a girl who actually does like him–Anna.
In other Wisteria Lane news, I love that Mrs. McClusky admitted to having a crush on Tom Scavo–so hilarious. And the fact that the gay neighbor whose name escapes me because he hasn’t been on regularly also has a crush on him made that fact so amusing to me.
Well, not too much this week, but hopefully next week will bring us a little more drama and maybe even more into who attacked the women in Fairview, because clearly we all need to know!
