Yesterday we told you that Fox’s Glee second season was both official and would come with new faces in a very fun sounding search for talent that made the current (on hiatus) first season so successful. We now know that there is also a very familiar face guest appearing on the show, one Olivia Newton-John, when the first season returns in April for nine more episodes.
ET is reporting that Olivia Newton-John will be singing her iconic ’80s hit Physical on Glee along side of Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch)! The report also came with some other very interesting bits for Gleeks. First, Kristen Chenoweth – who is also making a guest judge appearance on American Idol this season – is set to return in her role as April Rhodes. Second, while no doubt everybody heard about Madonna giving the show access to utilize her entire catalog last year, now Ryan Murphy – the show’s creator – revealed that their will be a tribute episode to the pop icon.
Glee is set to return to conclude its first season on Tuesday, April 13th, returning the cast of Dianna Agron, Chris Colfer, Jessalyn Gilsig, Jane Lynch, Jayma Mays, Kevin McHale, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Matthew Morrison, Amber Riley, Mark Salling and Jenna Ushkowitz.
