Back in November, Damon posted about Absolute Justice, Smallville’s Geoff Johns spearheaded arc turned TV film, turned DC comic lover’s extravaganza that introduces the Justice Society to CW-Supermanverse. Previously a two-parter titled “Justice” and “Legends”, the February 5th event looks not to be completely atrocious from what I can tell of the previously released promo image featuring Dr. Fate, Hawkman, and Stargirl. I don’t mind telling you that I was tuned in through the first couple of seasons, and my hope is that they will be able to do justice (no pun intended) to a show that I think did serve a purpose in the Superman mythos, by wrapping it up in manner that will make you talk about it at its height and not as a show that has been accused of perhaps sticking around a bit too long. As a comic fan, I’m just going ti put it to you like this: When it comes to DC heroes, in Geoff Johns I trust.
I love that picture/painting of the Society! Also set to appear is Pam Grier, who we told you last November would be taking on the role of Amanda Waller, a character both comic (Checkmate!) and Justice league Unlimited (aka Awesome) are very familiar with. Smallville returns from its mid-season break on January 29th with “Disciple”, and Absolute Justice is scheduled to air on Friday February 5th
In 2010, but non-Absolute Justice related Smallville news (but what I’m looking forward to most) is the last year’s announced return of Serinda Swan who last year showed up as fan man favorite, Zatanna. I think she’s set to appear in February 12th’s Warrior, so we are talking potential two consecutive weeks of goodness from Smallville. Smallville stars Tom Welling, Erica Durance and Allison Mack and airs every Friday the CW.
