Who is the face of true evil in the Ultimate Universe? I guess we will be finding out now, and below we have a seven page preview of the first issue of Marvel Comics’ Ultimate Comics Enemy, which features the writing of Marvel capo Brian Michael Bendis, the art of Rafa Sandoval, and another cover this week from Ed McGuinness (the other we noted earlier today in our preview for Fall of the Hulks: Red Hulk #1).
Never been a big follower of the Ultimate line personally, though I certainly acknowledge a debt to the early work in the line in playing a significant role in Marvel’s recent success. Ultimate work and Ultimate Spider-Man were damn important updates, or rather interpretations that worked in finding an audience (and I think – successfully – filtered into the main line). Anyways, Ultimate Comics Enemy#1 hits stores, racks, pull boxes, and your momma’s basement on January 27th, 2010.
