If you didn’t know who she was before last year, Saldana sure busted out in 2009. Tragically hidden from us in her appearances in the blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean films (and I guess the new blockbuster in Cameron’s Avatar) Zoe Saldana’s role as Uhura in the latest incarnation of Star Trek on the big screen insure that film studios won’t let it happen again! Saldana is also one of the stars of the upcoming The Losers (see a couple of images we have of her from that film), an adaptation of the Vertigo (DC) comic book series. Now Avon is also stepping up to makes sure we won’t be without Saldana in every household.
Saldana will be central to Avon’s new perfume Eternal Magic, as well as their color cosmetics collection. Saldana joins Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Hudson in representing the cosmetic empire. This statement was released by Avon big wig Geralyn Breig:

Speaking of Star Trek, this week Paramount announced a potential release date for the sequel–June 29, 2012.
