Allison mumbled her words and sounded a bit off to me. She still is so awkward when interviewd. i don’t see a lasting career for her at all.

Allison sounded great – way better than any of this year’s top 24. Makes you really miss Kradison.

I’m glad “julie” doesn’t get to decide who has a lasting career and who doesn’t.

Allison was amazing last night….still genuine…it’s just that some people have been conditioned to see too many “princess-like” female singers on TV, that anyone who falls out of that category is seen as akward. She has a great personality and has a voice some of this year’s female contestants can only dream to have. I think she will have a great career..Allison really is my favorite kind of contestant because she is naturally talented….she will be polished with the years, after all she is only 17. And at the end of the day, it is wonderful to see a person evolve, just the same way a caterpillar becomes a butterfly.

Scars will never be a hit on radio. Too boring. Yes Allison has a nice voice but her stage presence sorely lacks. Whats with the weird hand movements?

i think her voice rocks but her image is off they dressed her up like a brat and it takes away from her performance.
she just needs time to grow up and mature. Its harder in the rock world cuz the fans are pickier AND WANT CREDIBILITY not a poser. She wont make it with a catchy song like others. she needs experience and maturity and needs to stop singing songs for little girls. She can sing anything but HER VOICE IS MEANT FOR MUCH MORE THAN THAT. (like a janis joplin, melissa ethridge)

I am a huge Allison fan and love her album. I do have to agree with p somewhat. Allison is a rocker at heart and has a big rock voice. I do think she does have a bit of an image problem because I’m a middle age rock guy and I like her a lot more than my teenage daughters. I hate the out fits they have her wear. Her youtube videos where she is performing for radio stations and dressed very casually are so much better and more in line with her true self. I wish she had sang Trouble Is last night. Scars is a good song but Trouble Is really allows her to show off her pipes.

Sometimes I wonder if Allison future is more as a lead singer for a rock band. She is way too talented to disappear from the scene and blows away any of the female contestants this year.

“Trouble is” would have blown everyone away.

Allison will be fine, but i am just anxious for the rest of America to discover just how talented she really is.

    Allison Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chris hit the nail right on the head. Allison has the most amazing voice. She just needs to come out in a pair of blue jeans and sing something real that really markets that voice. I think she could sell music to a wide range of audiences if she stays true to her vocals. I really do hope she is around for a long time and finds management who will help her be successful and not those who are trying to make a dime off of her. ( she is so young am sure she is getting bad advise) Allison rock on.

If you have doubts about Allison and her future career you should do two things; Look up her AOL Sessions performances either directly or on YouTube. Then on YT sample the songs from “Just Like You”. It’s an excellent album from song #1 to the last. If you are not convinced of it after doing these two things then you just don’t know good rock ‘n roll.

Great performance and a great song.
No idea how anyone hears ‘mumbling’ , bizarre…

Agree she needs more performance/interview composure– but hey she’s still only 17 remember!!

  12. dave

I really hate people saying -” she’s only 17″ in reference to her performance/interviewing skills. She does lack composure. She’s just so awkward.

What in the he double hockey sticks is the matter with you people?!?!?! I don’t care how old she is, how she dresses, how she performs in an “interview.”!!! She is the most talented, passionate, real, relatable artist I have seen since the 60s. There are depths to this girl and in her voice that you stupid people can only dream of.

Yeah, she’s awkward during interviews. Who the hell cares? Her voice is incredible. Her stage presence and performance has plenty of time to be refined. Her quirky/awkward behavior is actually refreshing. That’s her. That’s who she is. She’s not putting on some act for the public. That’s so rare and SO AWESOME.

  15. sally

Goofy, quirky awkward behavior is what you might want to do before you come on stage.

I really love how Allison sings. She is so talented. I also how her hair it is not too red. It is to bad the radios never played her songs.
