Back in January we told you that she had been cast in Faster, and followed up on that a few days later with the news that Moon Bloodgood & Oliver Jackson-Cohen had joined her in a film that already had Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) and Billy Bob Thorton.
In both, we noted that Selma Hayek was close to joining the above cast, but reportedly had to pull out due to a scheduling conflict. /Film reveals that Carlo Gugino (who is also in Zach Snyder’s Sucker Punch) has been cast to replace Hayek. I find it hard to be mad about either. Also in the film is Maggie Grace, who we just told you is (returning to Lost). Gugino has been in many films, including Watchmen and Sin City, not to mention being Vince Chase’s agent (Amanda) on HBO’s Entourage for a (the third) season.
Faster is directed by George Tillman Jr. (Soul Food and Men of Honor).
