If you bought a launch copy of Darksiders, reviewed here, for either the PS3 or Xbox 360, you are undoubtedly aware of this mystery code pamphlet tucked away in the box…I hope you held onto it.
It was announced this week that this code will score the Darksiders faithful a FREE copy of Red Faction: Guerrilla – a Mars-based third-person destruction title – for either the PS3 or 360, PLUS a digital “Hellbook” disc rife with Darksiders art, videos, and other loot.
When Vigil Games said “DO NOT DISCARD”, they really meant it. Red Faction: Guerrilla has received better-than-average reviews and is not some slush freebie. This is an amazing offer and something I hope other publishers and developers aren’t taking lightly. THQ hit a homerun with this offer. You may still be able to find copies of Darksiders out there with this code inside, but it was only a FIRST RUN offer, so anyone who pre-ordered the game should have this. Beyond that, it’s hit or miss.
I ordered my copy of Red Faction: Guerrilla last night. 
Where did you get the digital Hellbook disc man, because I just ordered my Red Faction, but I have no idea how to get the Hellbook.

The Hellbook will be shipped with the game. CJ, if you can’t redeem your code, remember to put the dashes between the groupings in the redeem box below the itemized listing of the products, then click “Apply”. Also, try an “O” in place of what you may think is a zero because my code contained one such character and it was an “O”, not a zero. Try all caps, too, for the letters, just like it’s printed on the code sheet. Trust me, it works. Mine is shipping now.
Do you have to have it shipped to your house or is there a way to use the code and download it on Xbox Live?
I saw no indication that this would be a PSN digital download (I don’t have a 360 yet, but working on fixing that), so no, I would say it’s not available for download that way. I’m sure it’s because of the size…this is a full-length game, not an arcade game or a demo. Plus, the Hellbook disc is a physical disc, not a digital download.
I ordered the free game and have had nothing but trouble….they say i must download it online as a digital download. i asked for tracking on my game and they said there was none that it is a download…i don’t understand.
I had the same thing. It says download. Am i gonna get a physocal copy of the game?

I called and emailed THQ. There is no tracking number for these orders. It will take about 4 weeks to recieve discs in the mail. The download is just for the promor cover art which is actually a known issue with the site. the site generally only does downloads with optional backup copies so its very misleading. You WILL recieve a disc copy by mail.
