It’s was already one hell of a week for comic book fans with a copy of Action Comics#1 soaring to a $1 Million figure in the ComicConnect Auction. I had to admit that I was wrong about 7-figures not being out there, however, I did mention if it were me, I’d spend it on another grail, a book I posted about a couple of weeks ago. It was that book that just garnered $900,000 (that’s $1,075,500.00 with Buyer’s Premium) at today’s Heritage Auction.
I don’t even know exactly why, but I’m just really excited to see two first appearances of the two icons in superhero American comic books go for these record crushing prices, and neither were the two best copies known to exist of either. That honor goes to the Edgar Church copy of Action Comics#1 and the Allentown Copy of TEC#27 (both currently owned by the same person).
I actually have to step out for the night, but I just wanted to get this out there–the World’s Finest are truly just that for a week!
