- i'm half way through DoD, and i just can't seem to finish it.

- my rational is; that by the 9th book of a supossed 10 book series, things should start to be alot clearer and a direct path where the writer is taking the reader should be well noticable.

- i'm not finding it, more sub plots, more anti climaxes and more indtroductions of characters, that from my own experience with the writer, will only lead to other needless loose ends in this already complex saga

- i even re-read the first 3 books to try and spark my intrest again (thouroughly enjoyed re-reading those again) however as soon as i open DoD i find myself closing it again within five minutes simply because there is no central theme to relate the previous books to the current

Thanks for the write up, Amberdrake... I agree with Jay that I could read and reread Malazan and be happy... that being said I'm only on page 490 and plan on finishing it this weekend...

I have yet to begin re-reading this series, I imagine that I am waiting until they are all complete before starting over though I don't know why. I've been re-reading the WoT books forever and that series still isn't complete.

I'd be okay if I only had to read Malazan novels forever. The one series that I can't wait to read with each installment and that I reread to death.
