Josh Schwartz (he off The O.C., Gossip Girl and Chuck) has landed his two leads for a pilot he’s developing for CBS called ‘Hitched’. According to EW, Kristin Kreuk (Smallville) & Jack Carpenter (I Love You, Beth Cooper, Lipshitz Saves the World, The Return of Jezebel James) are set to star in the 30-minute sitcom about a newly wed couple just back from their honeymoon.
“Hitched” will be co-written by Josh Schwartz and Matt Miller, telling the story of the young couple, Rachel and Brett Applebaum. Earlier in the week,, Eugene Levy (American Pie!) was cast as the father of Carpenter’s character, and was described as “a four-times divorced ladies man who always wears tracksuits”.
Kreuk has actually recently been appearing in Chuck, a role she grabbed back in September.
