If you’ve been jones’ing to get on the list for the Final Fantasy XIV beta users, read on for information on how to go about it.
There’s always a catch to this sort of offer, and of course there’s no guarantee either way even if you fill out the lengthy application (click on the link there to be warped to it) and part with funds to buy Final Fantasy XIII, the full single-player game out today, March 9, 2010.
On the application, there’s a section that asks you what platform you wish to beta test on: PC or PlayStation 3. If you select the PlayStation 3, a stipulation below it asks for the 20-digit code you received from registering your copy of Final Fantasy XIII at Square Enix Members. This is not required, but it apparently could help you out in vying for a coveted spot in the beta. Again, no guarantees.
Even if you’re not selected, there’s a free in-game item for all PS3 owners in FFXIV…that is, if you don’t mind parting with coin for FFXIII.
