One of those comic books that was getting heavy buzz that I really wasn’t blown away with, just thought was alright, but yet actually really want to watch the film based on it. To me, any material seems right in the hands of Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and Spaced to name a few projects), especially something as already as odd as the comic by Bryan Lee O’Malley. Not disappointed in this clever trailer at all, and I’m thinking Scott Pilgrim and Kick-Ass reigning in ’10? The comic book money train keeps on going to theaters near you!
The film stars Michael Cera, Kieran Culkin, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and also has Anna Kendrick and Chris Evans (Mr. Captain America) among others in it as well. it hits theaters on August 13th.
