Well, hello Eddie the Fairview Strangler! The whole episode was a big pity party and background into Eddie’s killing ways, and basically I said “yikes” more than once when I was watching. So how did each woman of Wisteria affect Eddie’s life? Let’s see…

Gaby: In typical Gaby fashion, she befriended a young Eddie when she first moved to Fairview before she made friends with anyone else. And, of course, she put Eddie to work unpacking boxes and hanging out with her and watching her shows, pretty much exactly what she did with Anna and every other kid she’s known; oh, Gaby, you’re ridiculous. It was pretty funny, though, when Eddie walked in on Gaby and Carlos having some “together time.” Gaby’s intentions were in the right place, but unfortunately it looked like her rejection of Eddie’s affection and company was just the beginning of his downward spiral with females.
Lynette: Okay, I know that the Scavos have big hearts and are really caring, but how can they even think about bringing another child into their house? I mean, they just got one son back, they’re expecting a baby, it’s going to be a full house. Did they win the lotto and I didn’t notice? I mean, I love them and all, but the fact that they offered to bring Eddie in was just a little too much.
Bree: I loved Bree’s dating tips session with Eddie; it was so typical Bree in that it was incredibly structured and straight out of a “how-to” book. Unfortunately her tips were towards his efforts in pursuing an uninterested Danielle (how I do not know, because she was always so horrid on the show I never got why anyone was attracted to her). What made the whole thing even worse was Eddie’s horrendous mom and the way she told Eddie about Danielle’s disinterest; it was awkward and sad and just ugh all around. I’m glad Eddie didn’t go on a rampage right there when his mom started laughing at him.
Susan: I always forget that she teaches art; I feel like that fact only resurfaces every now and then during the show. But it was cute how much she took Eddie under her wing and signed him up for art class and whatnot. I just knew it would lead to him falling in love with the only woman who hadn’t let him down. But, man, when he came back and Susan was in her wedding dress and he said to marry him, that was just another “yikes” and “awww” and “oy” sort of moment that the episode was peppered with. And the mystery of Julie’s attack is solved, as well–Eddie thought it was Susan, and he was upset, clearly.
Basically Eddie has some issues; he killed his mother after all. And now he’s going to live with the Scavos and their four, almost five kids (well technically it should be six, because, seriously, where is Tom’s daughter??), so this should be interesting.
