No, Sir Paul is not scheduled to appear, but next Wednesday Rihanna will be performing on American idol, following the Tuesday episode that’s set to feature performances of John Lennon and Paul McCartney’s penned songs by the Idol hopefuls. Last we week we saw Rihanna perform (check out the video) at the Kids Choice Awards, but this week Rihanna will reportedly be changing it up and performing “Te Amo”, a song of her latest album, Rated R.
Really odd season of Idol for me thus far as I think one contestant is clearly doing the rest, and the so called “second tier” really is just that. I think there is one guy and possibly two girls who would be a worthy Top 3, but I’ve kind of been in this “let’s get there” already attitude, as I just don’t think the rest are even interesting enough to see if they can pull off an A game performance on a given night. I think this Beatles episode is really going to put on showcase my opinion, but I’m open to be pleasantly surprised. As we sit now, we just have too many still alive in the show that I think we all know have zero chance of winning.
