Back in February, I posted an article regarding the mystery code contained within launch copies of Darksiders by Vigil Games and THQ. Patiently, I’ve been waiting for my copy of the game to arrive, which I was never fully confident would happen based on the convoluted method that Digital River put in place. I contacted support and they informed me it would take four weeks from the date the code was entered. Four weeks went by, then five…no game.
Finally, yesterday, April 5, 2010, my copy of Red Faction: Guerrilla arrived along with a Darksiders “digital Hellbook”. I ordered it on February 12th, it arrived almost eight weeks later. Better late than never, but the process turned out to be unnecessarily wonky.
I haven’t fired up RF:G yet, but I’m excited to play some freeware! Thanks to THQ for this amazing offer, and we would like to see more of this in the future…just don’t use Digital River, please.
