In our continued coverage of the ramp up to the start of True Blood‘s highly anticipated third season, we’re thrilled to comment on the latest season trailer, which aired yesterday on the CW’s Vampire Diaries finale. “They took someone I love from me, but I was raised to fight back,” says Southern protagonist Sookie Stackhouse, as played by Anna Paquin. Her beau, Bill Compton may be a vampire and he may wind up kidnapped in Season 3 (and there is humor in that, thanks to these promo goodies), but that apparently won’t be keeping Sookie cold and alone. She’ll meet Alcide there werewolf while Bill is gone, according to the last fun cast interview featurette. With weres in the mix, and new relationships on the rise, mayhem is sure to engross the friends of a certain Bon Temps bar, so BEWERE. Gotta love the new tag line and the wolf-eyed poster to match.

“I got skills you can’t even dream of,” Sookie tells Alcide, brought to life from the Charlain Harris novels by actor Joe Manganiello. Bring it right back here this summer to read episode reviews by Elena! Marshall Allman, Laura Pulver, Michael Steger, and Alfre Woodward are among the new blood set to star in the newest season of HBO’s True Blood.

   ***Correction to article*** Sookie says ” got skills you can’t even dream of” to ERIC NOT ALCIDE. My bet is that this next season will follow the books loosely with the abduction of Bill. My money is on book plot that Lorena kidnapped Bill as a part of the King if Mississippi’s plan. In the book Lorena kidnaps and tortures bill and Sookie finds out from Eric why Bill was actually sent to Bon Temps….If you have not already read the books I will not give away more but I will be very happy to see this story line come true on screen. (This is what leads Sookie in the arms of Eric for good in the books In the books Eric is a much more loveable character so it will be interesting to see how this goes for the show.

   I can’t wait!

   Correction to Abbi – Eric doesn’t tell Sookie about why Bill was in Bon Temps – that comes much later in the series. Sookie breaks up with Bill because he was unfaithfull to her with Lorena>

   OMG! Looks ace. Love how they slightly change the story so its still exciting to those who have read the books

   I can’t wait for season 4 either! Its my favourite book and if they change my fave scene from it aswell…With Eric running down the road…Im going to be well annoyed! I <3 Eric, I <3 Aleksander Skarsgard.
