Thank you slashfilm.com for unveiling the final Last Airbender poster! Four Nations, One Destiny, is the tag line here on the latest promotional art for the cartoon turned film driven by director M. Night Shyamalan and Paramount Pictures. Sort of a catch all image for the major characters of the film, the new poster features young protagonist Aang’s forehead tattoo in particularly mystical form, changing it up a bit from the original Nickelodeon character design. BSC will continue to bring you the latest news on the project, just as we did when character photos and previous character posters were premiered. Airbender hits the silver screen July 2nd.
In other poster news, Yahoo! has delivered for the world to see, an official Inception poster! The sci fi adventure/ thriller sports such big industry names as Leonardo DiCaprio, Marion Cotillard, Cillian Murphy, Ellen Page, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ken Watanabe, Tom Hardy, and Michael Caine! It hits theaters on July 16th, 2010. For my money, there’s no more exciting a director than Chris Nolan. I’ve been hooked on his work since the daring, stylish, and literally backward Memento. Dark Knight is a work, too, that stands as fabulous feather in Nolan’s cap. I haven’t read a film premise like this one since the Matrix.
Check out the official film synopsis below released just this week following loads of previous secrecy.
Film Synopsis - Acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan directs an international cast in an original sci-fi actioner that travels around the globe and into the intimate and infinite world of dreams. Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb’s rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible—inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse: their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime. But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming. This summer, your mind is the scene of the crime.
