New stills from Twilight Eclipse that we are breaking down into two groups, one for everyone that has a “Team” fanbase associated with them and the girl they are trying to win, and the other for everybody else, including BSC favorite, and star of the film, Ashley Greene. This is the former of those and includes images that feature Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner. After seeing the release of a brand new clip during the weekend’s MTV Movie Awards (an event dominated by Twilight Saga-related wins, including perhaps most importantly to some, a Best Kiss win by Edward and Bella).

A lot of the most recent previews that have come in the form of TV teasers have focused on this trio (though lately, Xavier Samuel’s “Riley” has been featured), and while some of these images are from those scenes, we do get some images that are separate from the confrontation, including a couple of Stewart just chillin’, so these should come off as rather fresh looks from Eclipse. The film hits theaters on June 30th and is directed by David Slade. I also went ahead and reposted the new clip below, for anyone who missed it yesterday or live on Sunday night.

The latest Eclipse clip sucks. That scene never happen in the book and I’m so tired of these books being re-written and changed for the movies. Bella’s “friendship” with Jacob is just that and nothing more and I hate that Twilight is becoming some ridiculous teenage soap opera! I’ve had enough!! I’d rather wait for my dvd copy of Remember Me with Robert Pattinson in a whole different way with a whole different cast.

I TOTALLY agree with you. The adaptation for these films have not done any justice to the books. In this scene, for example, not only this does not happen in the book, but it is totally opposed to what Bella’s character would do. This has nothing to do with the way she really is portrayed in the books. She WOULD never disrespect Edward that way by leaving him standing in the middle of a parking lot and get on a motorcycle with Jacob – all of people – without an explanation. Horrible scene!
I understand that books have to be “adapted” to be transformed into a believable film, and that there are instances when some parts must be omitted or altered to maintain credibility and flow, but this woman (Rosenberg) has butchered these books beyond recognition. She has adhered to parts that are not relevant to the central story while dismissing the very essence of the characters and the way they were created. VERY dissapointing adaptation !!!
I understand that some from the book will be left out of the movie because of time constraints and what not, but after reading the books, it almost seems like a different story. These movies aren’t showing how the relationships between the characters really are. That scene in the clip above didn’t happen that way in the book AT ALL. I don’t get why the directors would do that. Honestly, I’m not too mad about it just because I wish things had happened differently in the book and from the looks of it, I may like the movies better because the story will be a little different, if that makes sense.
“Disrespecting” Edward? How? Because she’s not worshipping the ground he walks on? This is what she should have done. Edward was extremely possessive in Eclipse. Remember when he had Alice basically take Bella hostage? That was very odd. I cannot understand how someone could find that kind of behavior romantic or caring.
I’m glad they’re not potraying Bella and Edward’s relationship in all its disturbed glory in these movies. Bella was so in awe of Edward’s physical appearance that she basically went brain dead. Pathetic.
And there always was a romantic connection between Jacob and Bella. So please drop the “team Edward” and “team Jacob” crap and view the story for what it is. She had a connection to both of them, but her connection to Edward was much deeper.
i agree with that ,that the movie is nothing like the books and its a total shame but hey a movies a movie im still gonna see it.
i totally agree with you!!!this scene is awful…they destroy the books…i can’t understand why they do this…the books have very beautiful moments and in the movies they don’t put them…:( more over,the scenes that they put in the movie are so wrong that if you had read the books you don’t like the movie!!!!
