Showtime drama Dexter is going into its 5th season starting September 26th. Whiel the subject of rumor for some time now, official word that Julia Stiles will be joining the cast has been released by Showtime. Known for her work in Ten Things I Hate About You and the Jason Bourne trilogy, Stiles will be portraying a mysterious young woman who forms a unique relationship with Dexter, and according to theHDRroom.com is signed up for a 10-episode deal. Dexter is currently my favorite show on television. It worried me at first glance that any series would install a serial killer as its hero, but Dexter is a unique protagonist who never pretends to be the good guy. He is among television’s most flawed and complex characters, supported by great back story and a colorful cast of actors.
Dexter: Season 4 hits Blu-ray and DVD this August. Find out what happened in season 4′s finale or get more season 5 casting news in the form of last month’s announcement that Julie Benz would be coming back to the fold, right here at BSC.

I really, really don’t like Julia Stiles. I thought it was Styles? Whatever. She better not ruin Dexter. Ugh she’s worthless…unless you want to portray a woe-is-me, but somehow still-perky teen that is. But as Dexter’s love interest? Like I said, she’d better not ruin Dexter. I love this show.
