Katie Cassidy – new Gossip Girl

More Gossip Girl Season 4 casting news, as former Melrose Place resident Katie Cassidy heads to Manhattan and CW’s Gossip Girl. Cassidy joins French actress Clemence Poesy as new additions to the show announced this month (we updated the Poesy item a couple of days later). EW reports that we won’t have to wait long to see Cassidy, who is set to appear in the season premiere as “a student at Columbia and a love interest for fellow undergrad Nate (played by Chace Crawford).” The EW report goes on to add that she “will make trouble” and that “she is not what she appears.” Gossip Girl returns to the CW this Fall.
