Coming off of the debut of her single ‘California Gurls’ during last weekend’s MTV Movie Awards, Perry is now set to host the 12th annual Teen Choice Awards come this August. The pops star will also be performing at the event which will be aired on FOX on August 9th (8:00-10:00 P.M. ET/PT). She will have an as of yet unannounced co-host, which should be announced soon along with presenters and other performers.
‘California Gurls’ is the first single off of Perry’s upcoming album, titled Teenage Dreams, which will hits stores on August 24th. Fans of Katy will be able to see her earlier, as she will appear on the MuchMusic Awards on June 27th. She will also be part of the TODAY Show Summer concert series – the last act of the event actually – on August 27th.
