Retired. Extremely. Dangerous.
The trailer for Bruce Willis’s next film hit Yahoomovies today, and we have to say we’re impressed. Bringing together Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, John Malkovich, and Mary-Louise Parker, it sports an amazing ensemble and the energy level of a summer blockbuster. Not bad for an October 15 release date.
Featured here is Willis’s character checking in with his old comrades to see how well they have adjusted to life outside the CIA. Mirren takes the occasional job. Freeman enjoys the fruits of his labor. Malkovich watches over his shoulder every waking minute, certain that his old employer will come back to tie up the loose ends of his career. Everyone is having a hell of a good time, and it looks like the fun will translate well to the audience. Also starring Karl Urban and legends such as Richard Dreyfuss, James Remar, and Ernest Borgnine, this one has us frothing at the mouths. Robert Schwentke directs.
Film Synopsis–Red is the story of Frank Moses (Willis), a former black-ops CIA agent, who is now living a quiet life. That is, until the day a hi-tech assassin shows up intent on killing him. With his identity compromised and the life of the woman he cares for, Sarah (Parker), endangered, Frank reassembles his old team (Freeman, Malkovich and Mirren) in a last ditch effort to survive. Red is based on the DC Comics graphic novel of the same name by Warren Ellis.
