Salma Hayek and Puss in Boots revealed
Shrek may be living happily ever after with Princess Fiona, Donkey, and friends, but the adventure is just beginning for one beloved character. Puss in Boots (voiced by Antonio Banderas) teams up with Humpty Dumpty (Zach Galifianakis) and the tough, smart Kitty to steal the goose with the golden eggs. The roguish adventure Puss in Boots 3D moves one step closer to its November 4, 2011 release with today’s reveal of Kitty, voiced by Salma Hayek.
The project, directed by Shrek the Third’s Chris Miller, chronicles the early career of the mischievous Puss, who debuted with 2004’s Shrek 2. So far, TV star Zeus Mendoza is the only other voice talent confirmed, but watch for more announcements as we move closer to the holiday season. Writing team includes Brian Lynch (upcoming remake of The Monster Squad), David H. Steinberg (American Pie Presents: The Book of Love), TV writer Tom Wheeler, and Jon Zack (Shrek the Third).
