Shockwave! More Transformers 3 details and rumors are rolling out, and I’d say they are on a role with the last bit of news we noted, the addition of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley–though I’m not sure if the ousting of Megan Fox is something that should be approved or disapproved (not sure why it matters either way honestly). The director of the first two Transformers films, and the man who will bring us the next chapter, Michael Bay, talked to USA Today and confirmed what had been the word for the last few days around the net that Shockwave would play a major role in Transformers 3. The articles offer this but about Shockwave up:
the robot cyclops-turned-laser-cannon, who became dictator of their home world of Cybertron after the other Autobots and Decepticons journeyed to Earth.
Recently on Twitter I mentioned that the Transformers film I’d like to see is in the new Exodus novel (comes out later this month–solid stuff), and take place on Cybertron, and is essentially pre-what most people know about the Transformers, and reveals the origins of the war between Autobots and Decepticons and the origins of Prime and Megatron. In the book Shockwave is like the diabolical mad scientist, and one of the right hands of an upstart Megatron, While Transformers 3 isn’t that, anytime I think Cybertron, I thank Shockwave, who in the Gen-1 cartoon was the appointed Guardian of the planet by Megatron, and visually–the toy, cartoon, or comics, he’s always been one of my favorites. Anyone remember this sweet cover from the Marvel run?

I think Shockwave should be voiced by
MICKEY ROURKE
the villain WHIPLASH from Iron Man 2
who should voice Shockwave instead of Corey Burton?
1. MICKEY ROURKE
2. LEONARD NIMOY
3.KIRK THORTAN
4. JAMES WOODS
5. TONY TODD
6. WES BENTLEY
7. JEFF BRIDGES
8. PETER FONDA
shockwave was in the second transformers movie he was on the satelite dish. remember. sorry for the spelling
No, that was Soundwave.
Corey Burton IS Shockwave, that voice he’s put on the character is epic. A refined, and high-class, scientific, cool & calculated kind of evil is the best I can describe it.
BUT-seems they like to go the REALLY DEEEEEP AND LOOOOW route for the villains, so we’ll see…I’m sure I’ll love it either way.
