Star Wars: The Old Republic E3 reveal – Video
LucasArts had a track record at this year’s E3 for not showing actual gameplay footage for their titles on display. Both Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II and Star Wars: The Old Republic were revealed with massive CGI sequences. The only major difference is that since Bioware is now a division of Electronic Arts, the Star Wars: The Old Republic trailer was revealed during the closed press conference on Monday, June 14, 2010 at the Orpheum Theater in the historic district of downtown Los Angeles. The trailer is impressive, though shot off-screen.
Star Wars: The Old Republic is a massive multiplayer online role-playing game, or MMORPG for the casual gamer readers among us. The slated release date has simply been announced as “Spring 2011″. In the meantime, enjoy the immersive CGI trailer, and curse for no actual gameplay footage.
