Some new Toy Story 3 stills to feast on, some of which feature patented Pixar easter eggs (which I’ll leave to you discover!). Below are several glimpses of classic friends and some of the new characters that we’ve been keeping you up to date on over at BSCkids (just in case you need reminding: Sparks, Stretch, Twitch, Buttercup, Mr. Pricklepants, Trixie, and Chunk and Chatter Telephone, and my favorite, withe the awesome first appearance, Lotso-o! We’ve seen a lot of these scenes in the numerous posts and trailers that have been released, but they are still fun, and Pixar knows how to maximize that element in its promotions, as can be seen in last week’s Groovin with Ken featurette (voiced by Michael Keaton) and April’s faux-vintage commercial featuring Lots-o!
Toy Story 3 hits theaters (in 3-D!) on June 18th.
Official film synopsis:
The creators of the beloved “Toy Story” films re—open the toy box and bring moviegoers back to the delightful world of Woody, Buzz and our favorite gang of toy characters in TOY STORY 3. Woody and Buzz had accepted that their owner Andy would grow up someday, but what happens when that day arrives? In the third installment, Andy is preparing to depart for college, leaving his loyal toys troubled about their uncertain future. Lee Unkrich (co—director of “Toy Story 2” and “Finding Nemo”) directs this highly anticipated film, and Michael Arndt, the Academy Award®—winning screenwriter of “Little Miss Sunshine,” brings his unique talents and comedic sensibilities to the proceedings.
