AMC’s Walking Dead Poster

Its called The Walking Dead. It’s a comic book turned AMC series and we hear it is fantastic! Io9.com thought so, too, when they released this image courtesy of Circle of Confusion. Early this year when we learned the project was green lit, BSCdelivered this quote from Joel Stillerman, AMC’s Senior Vice President of Programming; “This is not about zombies popping out of closets. This is a story about survival, and the dynamics of what happens when a group is forced to survive under these circumstances. The world (in Walking Dead) is portrayed in a smart, sophisticated way.” Sounds lovely, doesn’t it?

Frank Darabont of The Green Mile and The Mist is attached to the upcoming show along with actors Jon Bernthal, Sarah Wayne Callies, and Laurie Holden. How about this poster of the cast? I think the photographer was well versed in the artwork for the Image comic itself, which is, quite obviously, about a group of people trying to survive a zombie apocalypse. If you think you’ve seen this scenario before, be careful not to dismiss The Walking Dead so quickly. It will spotlight the ways in which a civilization reorganizes under such an extreme occasion and the hunt for a possible cure.
