Prepare to drool, true believers! According to ComingSoon.net, Comic Con was the place for one of a kind memorabilia when Marvel revealed exciting, life-like props encased in glass. We have photos of Captain America’s glorious shield and the infamous gold Infinity Gauntlet (a item usually associated with Thanos–current Badass of the Week). These artifacts were on display to supplement film footage and Marvel actors in the flesh. The round patriotic protector isn’t just stunning to behold for geeks everywhere, it is the actual prop used in upcoming film, Captain America: The First Avenger. Similarly, the bejeweled glove was a film prop used in the making of Thor.
Just last week we delivered exciting posters for the two super hero films. Those were given out to adoring Marvel fans in San Diego. We also brought you a look at actor Chris Hemsworth, buff and wielding Thor’s incredible hammer. We will also continue to keep readers updated on casting news for both films. In case you missed it, Tommy Lee Jones is confirmed for the cast of The First Avenger.
Thor will hammer theaters May 20th, 2011. Captain America: The First Avenger will make its debut July 22nd, 2011. And the culminating event, bringing the heroes all together, film, Marvel Studios’ The Avengers will change the world on May 4th, 2012.
