Eclipse Sets Box Office Record, Breaks New Moon

With vampires and werewolves, action and romance, is it any wonder Twilight Saga: Eclipse broke box office records on its opening night? According to MTV.com the third film from the Twilight Saga has broken the record for highest-grossing midnight screenings — a record previously held by its predecessor, Twilight Saga: New Moon. Summit Entertainment announced Eclipse took in more than $30 million from midnight screenings on Wednesday, June 30. This toppled New Moon‘s $26.3 million midnight effort. BSC diligently follows all Twilight Saga news. If you are undecided about nabbing your own ticket to ride the paranormal love fest, read Sammantha Corley’s review of the film.

Thanks to our own Elena Nola, we’ve got an interview of Eclipse actress Jodelle Ferland who had the exciting task of bringing Bree Tanner to the big screen. You may know Bree also from a little novella also penned by Stephenie Meyer. Catch a review of that story also on BSC. Ferland will also act in Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, which, like a certain boy wizard’s final film, will be broken into two.
