The August 16 premiere of Weeds Season 6 on Showtime is gearing up to be a fun one if this newest teaser trailer is to be trusted. The Botwins are on the run, and that means assuming new identities. Mary-Louise Parker, in her long and storied career, has won four awards, one of which included a Golden Globe for her turn as the pot-selling family’s matriarch.
The season five finale brought more trouble than she and her clan have ever experienced, and now they are the Newman’s, a clan of undercover dealers trying to break into the hash market. Meanwhile, Nancy must take a job as a maid to conceal her identity, and it doesn’t look like it sets well with her. All the proof you need that you can take the criminal drug-dealing mom out of suburbia, but you can’t take suburbia out of the criminal drug-dealing mom.
