After yesterday’s report that Twilight Saga: Eclipse set a new midnight screening record, it appears that the second installment in the series of films based on Stephenie Meyer’s popular books, is going to have the last laugh. According to Box Office Mojo, the opening day gross of Eclipse, while impressive, fell short of the $72.7 million opening day total earned by its predecessor. Nevertheless, Summit Entertainment is thoroughly pleased with its performance. Since the series of films began with Twilight in 2008, the franchise has earned a worldwide gross of $1.1 billion. In just two days, Eclipse has accounted for $108 million of that. Production budget for the three films is a comparatively paltry $155 million, making this cash cow one of the most successful film franchises of all time.

the movie was fantastic!!!!!!!!!:)i like it so much…i can watch it again and again…edward is so beautiful….especilly, when he proposed to bella he was so beautiful………………………..
I am surprised New Moon did better than Eclipse…it might have been so, but Eclipse is a MUCH better movie…I hated the adaptation of New Moon and the chemistry between Jacob and Bella was non-existent, just like in Eclipse. Their kiss made me cringed!!! Looking forward to see the next two movies!
