Scream 4 Adds to Cast

In 1996, director Wes Craven and writer Kevin Williamson launched Scream, a horror franchise that would reboot an entire genre. At the time the duo swore it was a planned trilogy, especially after the enormous box office success proved a sequel was inevitable with or without them. The increasing idiocy of the storylines, however, seemed to indicate otherwise. By the time Scream 3 rolled around, all of the fun was gone.

But that was 10 years ago.

With a new cast that includes Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, and Rory Culkin, the Ghost Face Killer hopes to make another box office slash with a new array of victims. Fans of the original need not fret, though. Neve Campbell, David Arquette, and Courtney Cox will also be returning. And with today’s announcement, three more potential victims have been added to the mix: Adam Brody, Marley Shelton, and Erik Knudsen.

According to Heat Vision, Brody will play a CSI generation cop and college grad; Shelton will be a deputy and acquaintance of Sidney (Neve Campbell) from high school; and Knudsen will be taking over as the resident horror movie geek for Jamie Kennedy. Everything old is new again!
