While Geekdom is all aflutter about the upcoming adaptation of Warren Ellis and Cully Hammer’s graphic novel Red, showing their support at the recent San Diego Comicon festivities, the rest of you will have to settle for another look at the movie itself. BSC first brought you the trailer for Red, which stands for “Retired and Extremely Dangerous,” around this same time last month. Expect things to heat up in the coming months as we barrel toward its October 15 release date.
The film follows Frank Moses (Bruce Willis), a former black-ops CIA agent, who is trying to live the good life with hottie Sarah (Mary-Louise Parker), until a team of assassins shows up at his door intent on making his retirement a short-lived one. With his identity compromised, he turns to his old team of killers (played by Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, and Helen Mirren) to set things straight. Red was originally published by DC Comics.
