Christina Aguilera Burlesque clip – ‘Something’s Got a Hold on Me’
Christina Aguilera would have been right at home as a 60′s pop diva. Don’t believe me? Check out this incredible performance from the upcoming film Burlesque, which opens on November 24. So glad a singer with talent has returned to the big time to hopefully wrestle away the spotlight from kooks like Taylor Swift.
“Something’s Got a Hold on Me” is the name of the song, and it lends itself perfectly to Aguilera’s voice, which itself encapsules a fun and upbeat tone that hints at the flavor of the film. Burlesque follows young Ali as she seeks fame and fortune, and ends up working as a cocktail waitress in a very Coyote Ugly-esque dive called the Burlesque Lounge. Definitely the kind of film we guys don’t want to admit that we want to see. Wouldn’t be caught dead going alone, or with a group of guys, but alas, that’s what girlfriends are for.
