Daydream Nation trailer – Kat Dennings and Josh Lucas
Now this looks intriguing. The young actress Kat Dennings leads a cast that includes Josh Lucas and Andie MacDowell in a film about a young girl having an affair with her teacher. The film, Daydream Nation, is written and directed by newcomer Michael Goldbach, and it looks like a nice balance of humor and drama, just the kind of thing Awards shows love.
Here we have the trailer, which begins with, “This was the year everything happened,” an ominous choice of words for something that feels so ripped from the headlines. High school kids are having relationships with teachers more than you know. A very disturbing trend that, if not new, is certainly happening more often. No release date offered to see how this particular affair will turn out, but I can see a landfall closer to the end of the year. Stay tuned to BSC for more details.
