Kat Dennings in Daydream Nation Pics
Well, if Kat Dennings’ new coming of age drama Daydream Nation doesn’t have Oscar Contender written all over it, I don’t know what does. And given the content–a straight forward approach to the old student loves teacher story, and by “loves,” I mean “screws,” along with a murder-mystery to boot–this one could be more interesting than the usual Oscar Bait affairs.
I’ve been a big Dennings fan, in spite of Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, for a while now. This time we get to see if she’s got the dramatic chops to break in to major leading lady territory. According to the short review from TIFF.NET, who also brought us a sneak peek at the pics you see below, she’s in capable hands. Writer-director Michael Goldbach’s debut feature reportedly plays like the work of a veteran. Can’t wait to see this one, hopefully before the end of 2010.
