Despite the inexplicable and horrendous name change, the trailer for Let Me In actually looks pretty good. Most of you know that this is an Americanized remake–how I hate that expression–of the instant classic Let the Right One In. The film tells the story of a poignant relationship between a bullied young man and his new best friend, a vampire who appears to be an ordinary 12-year old girl.
Here we have some recently released promotional pics from the film, and I got to be honest–not killing my urge to see how this one turns out. While I highly doubt it’s in the same ballpark as the previous effort, it does look better than Piranha 3D. Let Me In hits theaters on October 8.

The title of the American film is actually a direct translation from the book. So, in essence, it’s more true to the original than the foreign (“original”) version.
SPOILER: Also, I enjoyed the American version more. I didn’t like the whole CG cat attack scene in the original movie and I’m glad they removed it from this one.
