M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘Devil’ – Promos

M. Night Shyamalan, you have screwed me so many times I should get checked for STDs. Honestly, The Village was the worst piece of crap ever committed to film. Then, I saw Lady in the Water, and realized that it could, in fact, get worse. And just when I thought you couldn’t sink any lower, I read the spoilers to The Happening and laughed my ass off. It was then that I realized you can judge a book by its cover and you don’t have to watch a movie before trashing it.

With that said, and I hate myself for admitting this, the trailer to Devil looks pretty solid as do these two promos released today. Looks like you’re shooting for straight horror this time, and I believe that’s something you’ve never tried. This may be a journey I’ll actually take with you, although I have a sneaking suspicion that I will hate myself in the morning. I don’t even care that it looks like a reimagining, if you will, of the low-budget shocker Black Out.
