You want a show to feel good about? Try Covert Affairs on for size. Following its July 13 premiere, in which it garnered 4.9 million viewers, the Piper Perabo vehicle has done nothing but pick up steam in its one-month infancy. With the last episode bringing in 5.4 million viewers, the decision to approve another 13-16-episode season was a no-brainer for USA Network.
Perabo has grown up a lot since her turn in Coyote Ugly, and she carries the weight of this show on her narrowly sculptured shoulders bringing both smarts and sex appeal to the character of Annie Walker, a single woman with a double life.
