Robert Pattinson beat by Ian Somerhalder – movie monsters

Entertainment Weekly magazine ran the results of its exciting new poll to discover the identity of America’s favorite TV or movie monster. Well, monster may not be the perfect word to describe the competition. Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine was a contender, as was Summer Glau’s terminator from The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Sexy aliens from V made it into the running, but in the end a vampire took the crown.

Somewhat surprisingly Ian Somerhalder, the actor who portrays Damon Salvatore on The Vampire Diaries, beat Robert Pattinson’s honey-eyed Edward Cullen for most beloved monster. Damon is very much the bad boy personality. Sometimes sensitive, always dangerous. Is that why he beat out the over protective Cullen? Both entertainment phenomenons earned 2010 Teen Choice Awards.

Maybe Damon beat Edward, but Ian could NEVER compare to Rob. Ian is definitly handsome but Rob is so completely exceptional that no one stands a chnce next to him. In addition, Rob is musically inclined and can play piano,guitar and has a hauntingly beautiful voice. Sorry Ian, you were lucky this time.

I watch ‘The Vampire Diaries’ weekly and I like Ian and he is handsome but is so much more. Rob has won the sexiest man on the planet for two years, and this year he was named as one of the most influential people of the world even more influential than the president, won the Best Male Performance at the MTV Awards as well as the Global Movie Star Award, plus at Teen Choice, he won the Summer Male Movie Star Award along with three other awards. Rob has won many other titles and acknowledgements over these last three years and has millions of fans that follow him. I feel Rob is truly loved and truly blessed and for these two reasons, he will continue to be famous and very popular and because of all these accomplishments, I wonder how Ian won. Just to say that Rob is known and so famous all over the world is a title that is worthy of being number one!

Ian won because not only is he gorgeous – btw his eyes are unmatched – but also because he is a talented actor who (gasp!) actually appreciates his fans.

Furthermore, Ian Somerhalder plays Damon Salvatore with sensitivity and a depth that the Twilight actors could only hope of achieving.

And while I’m on the subject, Robert Pattison AND Kristen Stewart have gotten uglier and uglier to me every time they either A. Whine about their fame or B. Bash the movie that made them.

Kristen likened the paparazzi following her to being “raped.”(Something she later apologized about – rightly) Are you kidding me? I think they both need a reality check that the Twilight fame will not last forever.

Let’s hope Ian’s win is the first one.

Somerhalder is loved because he is actively engaged in environement and animal protection. he created his own fondation and he is very helping in the tragic situation which sadly touched his natal country New Orlean.
