Season 2 Vampire Diaries promo – new footage!

Yep, it’s a pretty slow news day if you’re a fan of Vampire Diaries. Here, we’ve got an 11-second spot from Teen Choice that’s just long enough to tell us to watch the second season premiere on Thursday, September 9. It also reminds us that Kevin Williamson’s haven from writing bad movies, cough, Cursed, cough cough, is the CW horror-drama, which has captured a staggering seven Teen Choice Awards thus far.

The Scream scribe, who makes his return to the franchise with Wes Craven’s desperate horror comeback Scream 4, seems to be doing something right. With the success of Dawson’s Creek and now this, maybe Williamson should stick with what he knows. You don’t have long to wait to see if Vampire Diaries Season 2 is as good as Vampire Diaries Season 1. You still have a while, however, before seeing whether or not Williamson is ready for the big screen again as Scream 4 releases on April 15, 2011.
