Okay, people, I’m going to shoot straight with you here. I love David Fincher. Zodiac is perhaps one of the best films of the decade in which it was born. Fight Club is no slouch either. Hell, Alien 3 had its strong points, and if you watch the bonus materials associated to that film, its faults were very much non-Fincher-related. With that said, I’m not excited about this one. Not because it looks like a poorly made film–it doesn’t. Nope, my lack of interest in The Social Network is entirely subject-related. It bores me stiff. I’m on Facebook burnout.
See, the popular social networking application is a dirty little bitch. I started my account to reconnect with old friends. Then, as I branched out and started writing for a living, it became a professional necessity. Unfortunately, in so doing, it caused me more personal drama than I was ever prepared for.
Why are you friends with Michelle Tomlinson (actress from The Cellar Door)? She looks like a slut! (She’s not.)
How did you meet James Wan? Can you pass him my script for Saw 23!?
Aric, I read one of your articles, and you said a dirty word! That’s not the boy I taught in Sunday school class!
I’m done. I want to disable my account so badly, but I have 750 people, who would be legitimately pissed if I did, and it would probably cost me a relationship. So we’ll just say this is one of those movies I’m avoiding for personal reasons. In the meantime, enjoy these pics and the two trailers out, and let me know how it turns out when it hits theaters on October 1.

I’m a recent grad just trying to learn more about the social media space and I really enjoyed your article. Keep up the great work!
BRENDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!>3333333333333
we LOVE YOU!!!!
I CAN’T WAIT! THE SOCIAL NETWORK RULES!
OMG this is so awesome, i love brenda she’s such a greata ctressss
and how on earth is your dislike towards facebook even relevant the movie? the movie isn’t a documentary about facebook and isn’t even advertising facebook.. facebook are against the movie.
the movie is about a bunch of young troubled hardvard university students involved in the creation of the online phenomenon, facebook. the story isn’t about one person, the movie’s screen writer aaron sorkin said so. the story is about betrayal, love, the negative impact of money which evidently led to the destruction of long friendships, deviating from society’s rules and acceptance.
the movie explores themes similar to the ones in shakespeare’s work and has been called the ‘movie that best defines this generation and fcking amazing’ by the rolling stone’ critic.
brendy song is so beautiful, i love the way she acts and her clothes, she’s the best!!
